The
Legendary Underground 1987 GG Allin Roir Cassette rereleased with 4 bonus
tracks!
"I'm
not imitating anything as much as I am trying to take it beyond" - GG
Allin
22
Tracks of pure GG assembled by GG's brother, Merle, and original executive
producer, Mykel Board, timed to coincide with the 5th anniversary of GG's
death by overdose following a New York City performance in 1993.

"He
became the worst nightmare the Dead Boys and Iggy never had. Self-immolating,
jock-strap clad, a mace-spraying, dung-heaving aberration. For better
or worse, GG Allin is (was) a legend." - Trouser Press Guide
to Indie Rock
"(ROIR
cassette, 'Hated In The Nation') ...the best place to be introduced to
the demented moron who made obscenity a political statement. If you're
a fan, find this." - All Music Guide To Rock
"Of
all the degenerate acts carved out in the name of rock n' roll, there
are few who have touched (preferably with disinfected gloves) the life
and times of GG Allin." - Guinness Who's Who of Indie New Wave
"At
any given performance GG may knock some of his teeth out with the microphone,
bloody his head, masturbate, beat up spectators, defecate on-stage (a
spontaneous artistic decision - editors note) and get beaten up by spectators.
Where many underground bands flirt with an aura of self-destruction of
danger, GG is one of the few who actually lives what he sings." -
Jim Greer Spin Underground
"GG
Allin is (was) one of the most extreme performers of rock and roll. His
shows rarely lasted more than 20 minutes, the plug was almost always pulled
by an outraged promoter or by the police." - Melody Maker
"Among
the luminaries and oafs who recommended the GG cassette are Thurston Moore,
Steve Albini, Jello Biafra and Tim Yohannon. So bad, it's funny." Sounds
UK
"Whatever
you think of GG, you've got to admire a man that lives and dies for every
performance - not since Iggy Pop has any artist engendered so much of
the animal within us all." CMJ New Music Report
"The
only friend I've ever had in life was the music I created. For me, rock
n' roll has to be the ultimate weapon of revenge." GG Allin
from Jail
This
exclusive for ROIR collection of 22 tracks is presented as a fake "live"
concert, as GG, up to the time of this 1987 release, had never been allowed
to finish a gig without the plug being pulled. The original cassette released
in 1987 was by far the most revealing and accurate presentation of GG's
work until that time.
"He
is essentially a depraved madman whose exhibitionism knows no bounds.
His music is probably the crudest, most primitive hardcore ever recorded.
'Hated In The Nation' is one of the most frightening things I've ever
heard. Sick, repellent and compelling all at once." - Kevin
Whitlock, Vox UK

WARNING
"GG Allin was a rock n' roll performance artist whose life
was his performance. This release has a running time of approximately
70 minutes and contains 22 selections. The material and lyrics contained
herein may be considered vulgar and offensive to some and caution is advised
for those perspective purchasers who are not familiar with GG Allin's
volatile and licentious performance material."
